Many buildings require cooling to offset heat gains such as those from people, electrical equipment and the sun. Systems that provide cooling may also provide full control of temperature, humidity, air quality and air movement inside the building – these are known as air conditioning systems.
This introductory webinar explains how the refrigeration process works, and how this is used to provide cooling in buildings.
It also outlines the functions of an air conditioning system, the main system components and a few of the types of air conditioning systems commonly found in buildings. Issues such as acoustics and vibration are discussed.
