A project example – Colchester Garrison, Essex. We were responsible for co-ordinating the planning and urban design of a new army Garrison and subsequent redevelopment of surplus MoD land for a new mixed use ʻurban villageʼ comprising 2,600 homes. Our involvement stemmed back to an original PFI bid stage and included a large-scale public consultation exercise.
We undertook negotiations on the conditions and legal agreements for all aspects of the developments and prepared an ʻUrban Design Framework and Design Codeʼ to guide future developers.
