Focus Ecology was formed in 2010 and has the expertise to provide sure-fire ecological solutions to a wide range of projects. The company ethos forges the highest standards of professional scientific practice with a ‘best value’ approach for our clients. Our core area of expertise is in the production of specialist ecological reports and advice to support planning applications. However, our flexible approach, range of skills and broad project experience allows us to adapt to your individual requirements.
Our comprehensive services include Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Phase I and Phase II Botanical Surveys, BREAAM, Habitat Management Works, Invasive Species Management and Arboricultural Surveys. We also specialise in Protected Species Surveys, Licensing and Mitigation, with expertise in Bats, Great Crested Newts, Badgers, and a full range of other protected fauna as required.
Focus Ecology is situated in Worcestershire, providing a convenient and central UK location. The joint founders of the company, Fern Fellowes-Day and Graham Davison and all of our ecologists are members of the Chartered Institute for Ecological and Environmental Management (CIEEM). We have a wide range of practical experience from major infrastructure contracts to smaller projects for private individuals across the UK, in addition to various Natural England and Natural Resources Wales protected species licenses. We are also fully covered by employer’s liability, professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
