We are a two tier district authority in the East of Lancashire. We are bordered by Bury, Rochdale, Blackburn, Hyndburn, Burnley and Todmorden. We deal with the building control function; new build, conversions, extensions, demolitions, dangerous structures, enforcement, street naming and numbering.

Rossendale has strong communities with an enhanced environment and heritage. It is an attractive place to live where tourists visit and employers invest.
