Cementaid Everdure CALTITE System Hydrophobic and Pore‐blocking Ingredient (HPI) for membrane‐free, truly waterproof structural concrete
Whether it’s Cockermouth, Preston and Wigan or Cheltenham, Chertsey and Brighton, in the last 25 years Everdure Caltite has been used to provide waterproofing in over 500 hospitals and medical facilities in the UK.
Designed by Building Design Partnership, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, is a 1,200-bed tertiary NHS hospital. Over 3,000m3 of concrete containing Everdure Caltite was used to waterproof the basement slab, retaining walls and lift pits. The structural engineers were White Young Green (now part of Tetra Tech) with principal contractor Balfour Beatty.
The Evelina Children’s Hospital, part of St Thomas’ Hospital, London, designed by Michael Hopkins & Partners, where Everdure Caltite was used to waterproof the basement slab, retaining walls and lift pits. The structural engineers were Buro Happold with main contractor MJ Gleeson.
Phase 1 of the University College London Hospital has a deep basement, as shown in the photo, where Everdure Caltite was used for the waterproofing. Designed by Llewellyn Davies, the structural engineers were Clarke Nicholls & Marcel and main contractors Amec/Balfour/Haden Young Joint Venture.
A time-proven, practical system
