Construction Automation, creator of the Automatic Brick Laying Robot (ABLR), has received NHBC Accepts approval
The Yorkshire-based company aims to modernise and advance traditional housebuilding processes through construction robots.
The Automatic Brick Laying Robot (ABLR) runs on a track and will build external walls and lay bricks, blocks and mortar.
It is designed to increase productivity, improve on-site health and safety, guarantee build quality and help with skills shortages.
The NHBC team has been assessing the product for over a year, undergoing rigorous testing and inspections of the robot in action.
After receiving the NHBC Accepts accreditation it can now be used in the construction of new homes.
