Saint-Gobain signs agreement to sell its wood processing and distribution business in Denmark, Protræ

Saint-Gobain has signed a binding deal to sell its wood processing and distribution business in Denmark, Protræ because of inadequate positioning and lack of critical mass to its main customer jem & fix.

Saint-Gobain’s “Grow & Impact” strategy

The deal is part of Saint-Gobain’s ongoing business profile optimisation strategy, in line with the “Grow & Impact” plan objectives.

The agreement is subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities.

It is due to be finalised by the end of the third quarter 2022.

Protræ employs around 100 people in two facilities – Rødding and Holsted – and generated sales of around €120 million in 2021.
