Galliford Try has expanded its senior team with the appointments of Laura Hodgetts as healthcare director and Stuart Wallace as head of pre-construction

Galliford Try has made two additions to the senior team with the appointment of a new healthcare director and new head of pre-construction.

The appointment bolsters Galliford Try’s position as a leading healthcare contractor, having provided planning, designing, and constructing healthcare facilities for NHS trusts as a partner of the NHS ProCure frameworks since 2014.

Laura Hodgett has been promoted from her current role of assistant healthcare director

With over 18 years’ experience in the sector, Laura has held roles with the Department of Health and as a healthcare consultant, and has a Msc in Planning Buildings for Health from the Medical Architectural Research Unit (MARU).

Laura originally joined Galliford Try in 2018 and will succeed Omar Jomeen in her new position.

Stuart Wallace joins to drive a ‘Source to Sea’ approach in new water sector markets

Stuart was previously head of pre-construction for Morrison Construction’s environment team, with pre-construction responsibility for the Scottish Water ESD and DV2 frameworks. He will now be responsible for heading up the pre-construction function across the entire environment business unit.

Stuart will work alongside the regional operational directors to ensure the delivery of the current business targets and continue to develop the environment business into new markets which further increases our profitability.

Mark Hanrahan, business development director for environment, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Stuart into his new role within our environment business unit and with his extensive pre-construction knowledge and leadership skills, he will strengthen our business in providing a profitable ‘Source to Sea’ approach.”
