Rollalong Ltd has joined the Homes England Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System, making them the only specialist offsite manufacturer of modular homes to do so

The Homes England Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System aims to make it easier for housebuilders to access Homes England land. The framework is one of the largest vendors of residential land in the UK, and it is Homes England’s largest procurement exercise to date and is valued at £20bn.

Homes England is focused on delivering developable sites into the market by acquiring, de-risking and disposing of land to developers and housebuilders. These parties can then build and market their homes on that land. The current Homes England portfolio has over 8,800 hectares of landowning’s across 600 active projects, making them the largest master developer in England.

What is the Dynamic Purchasing System?

The Dynamic Purchasing System is a primary route for Homes England’s land disposal that offers housing providers the opportunity to bid for Homes England sites exclusively.

The system will help to procure housing-led developments on land owned by public sector bodies. These are developments that are mostly residential; however, they can include subsidiary uses, such as commercial, retail, educational or leisure.

Other public bodies can use the Dynamic Purchasing System to procure developers and increase their exposure to potential projects.

New suppliers will work with Homes England

Homes England plan on appointing suppliers who will oversee all stages of the residential development process whilst working under their Building Lease and paying a land value for the sites they develop.

Rollalong is the largest permanent offsite construction company in the south of England and has delivered effective modular buildings across the public sector, including housing for the Ministry of Defence as well as new schools and school extensions and healthcare facilities.

“After a rigorous application process, we are delighted to be appointed to this framework alongside major housebuilders. This demonstrates Homes England’s confidence in our ability to deliver new quality homes at scale,” explained Steve Chivers, managing director of Rollalong.

Rollalong was established in 1932, and the company has gained expertise in the residential, defence and education sectors. Currently, Rollalong is manufacturing and installing modular homes in the south of England.

“Our land-led development arm Newship Developments, which is part of our parent company, the Newship Group, has extensive experience in land and property acquisition which complements and supports our work in the residential sector,” concluded Chivers
