Rockwool provide insulation for a variety of needs
Rockwool are an insulation manufacturer that supplies insulation for purposes ranging from sustainability to noise pollution. Their range includes stone wool which is a versatile and recyclable insulation material, reflecting the needs of people, industry, and the environment.
Last month, they welcomed a new CEO, Jes Munk Hansen.
Speaking on the acquisition of Wetherby, Hansen said: “This acquisition underlines ROCKWOOL’s commitment to further expanding our presence in the UK market and to continuing to transform the construction sector towards sustainable and non-combustible façade solutions.
“The share of stone wool insulation in the Wetherby business has been growing steadily, and we will be completing this transition to a fully stone wool-based portfolio, as we have done in other markets in the past.”
Insulation is playing an important part in becoming more sustainable, with the European Industrial Insulation Foundation finding that many industries are not insulating enough and wasting energy. A 2021 report found that the UK alone could save 1.183ktoe of energy, equivalent to 1.7m cars or 863,000 homes.
