Train infrastructure firm Network Rail is searching for a contractor to refurbish its general offices in Waterloo, London…
Network Rail has started the hunt for a contractor to refurbish its offices based in London. The building at Station Approach is located within the train station at Waterloo. It spans 90,000 sq ft over four floors, and accommodates a total of 550 Network Rail staff.
The contract will include work on the existing façade, as well as the roof. It will also include the replacement of the main plant and floor service. The lift service will also be replaced.
The rail infrastructure firm is hoping to carry out the work in phases, which will enable operations to continue as normal.
As part of the contract, Network Rail expects the refurbished building to achieve a minimum BREEAM standard of ‘very good’.
BREEAM, which sets the standard for best practice in sustainable building design, construction, and operation, is the recognised measure of a building’s environmental performance.
