The Concrete Repair Association has released an update to the Standard Method of Measurement for Concrete Repair…
Updated guidance has been published to assist the origination of clearer Bills of Quantities for concrete repair work. This will provide a uniform basis for measuring concrete repair.
The document, which was released by the Concrete Repair Association (CRA), is now in its third edition.
The update reflects new, as well as current methods, practices, and standards in the sectors. The methods of measurement includes instructions for areas such as crack repairs, levelling mortars, surface cleaning, survey, and trials and routine testing.
The document is one of the most popular produced by the CRA and has been downloaded and purchased as a hard copy thousands of times since the first edition was published in 1990.
The guidance brings together the Corrosion Prevention Association and the Sprayed Concrete Association alongside the CRA to provide expertise on the repair, refurbishment, and renovation of concrete. It also focus on the cathodic protection of steel and concrete structures, as well as sprayed concrete technology and application techniques.
The new edition can be downloaded free from the CRA site.
