Senior Engineer, Arup
Before taking on her role as Senior Engineer for Arup, Sarah Birchall joined BSRIA’s Sustainable Construction Group in 2011.
Her principle areas of activity at BSRIA included building performance evaluation, energy analysis and benchmarking, working on research projects associated with sustainable domestic development, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Soft Landings and producing building manuals.
Sarah has also been a Technology Manager for the Carbon Trust’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Research Programme. This role involved managing research studies, engaging with stakeholders, collecting and analysing market data, data interpretation, sensitivity analysis and calculating potential carbon and monetary savings from the proposed options and recommendations.
