A BIM Open Mic night is being held on 10 October in Manchester by the BIM Regions Northwest Group providing an opportunity for speaking, networking and learning
The Northwest BIM Group has been created to provide a point of contact within the region for anyone wanting to know more about BIM and aims to help professionals in the regions with their BIM queries, specifically in regards to HM Governments 2016 BIM and GSL Mandate but also the wider advantages and implications of BIM adoption.
All organised through goodwill, the volunteers of the North West Group try to ensure that all parts of the industry have access to information about BIM in general and the government’s requirements, particularly the SMEs in the region. The BIM Open Mic nights are a key event to ensure that the message of BIM is delivered in a relaxed and inviting setting.
The BIM Open Mic nights are a chance for ‘non-speakers’ to have their say, to ask questions, to share knowledge and to gain cross-sector, cross-discipline understanding of BIM. The events aren’t recorded or streamed to ensure that people can be open and honest; tweeting, however, is allowed!
If you’d like to speak, the rules are simple: no sales pitches, and you’ll have 10 minutes to make you’re your point!
