Mick George Facilities Management introduces it’s new Operations Manager, Angus Wilmot, taking the business forward with his previous experience.
Since its launch just over a year ago, Mick George Facilities Management has gone from strength-to-strength. The service, which provides customers with professional and reliable Planned and Reactive maintenance is now working with prestigious brands from across the region, including Lovetts Sales and Letting, Travelex and the East of England Showground.
Keen to advance their offering, Mick George Facilities Management has recently welcomed on board a new Operations Manager. Responsible for introducing and building new relationships as well as pushing the business forward, new Operations Manager, Angus Wilmot has a proven track record within the industry.
A background in Facilities Management
Angus’s background includes experience working on Sainsbury’s Facilities Management contract delivering store extensions and refurbishments worth £20million over a 12-year period.
It was back in 2001 when Angus had his first taste of life in the fast lane with City Facilities Management, where he worked as a Pest Control Technician and was once called out to ex-Spice Girl and X-Factor Judge Mel B’s home to deal with a rodent problem.
Nevertheless, he did not let this claim to fame go to his head, and from there, progressed through the years to become Resource Manager and Regional Facilities Manager, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way.
So, what encouraged him into the industry?
Being a typical boy’s boy, from a very young age, Angus was continuously striving to work out the mechanics of all of his belongings, pulling and prodding them until they fell apart, just so had an excuse to put them back together again. He’s always had an interest in maintenance work and DIY, and what better way to fulfil his dreams than to secure a career that encompassed his passion!
Having taken care of Mel B’s rat, Angus in his spare time enjoys relaxing, playing a good old-fashioned round of golf, and planning renovation works on his own property. He’s also kept busy by the ladies in his life, his two daughters, wife Tracey, and two step-daughters. The family have welcomed two new additions in the last year too, so it’s fair to say Angus’ personal life is just as busy as his professional career!
