Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd, the Leading training providers in safety and environmental consultancy, has launched a training experience which enables delegates to virtually step into their award winning ‘Hazard House’
Since 2017, AEC’s realistically sized Hazard House allows trainees to interact with over 180 mock asbestos installations and legionella hazards.
In the house’s classroom facility, trainees use Oculus headsets to explore different types of asbestos and legionella hazards at different locations all around the house.
The facility allows trainees to step away from traditional training methods such as looking at photos, and instead learn from a 360 degree view of each learning space, providing them with confidence to spot real-life hazards in the workplace.
This year, the forward-thinking training facility was recognised with a business award for Innovation by the UKATA.

Using the latest technologies, AEC continue to train businesses across the UK and worldwide.
Bob Harris, Technical Director and head of AEC’s training services said “We pride ourselves on giving our training delegates a comprehensive, interactive learning experience. Virtual reality software provides us with the ability to address different learning styles.
“Students have different approaches to how they process information, and we want to increase their academic confidence by offering creative ways of learning.”
