Interserve has won a place on the £100m Bradford MDC Framework which comprises the construction of new builds, alterations and extension works

Interserve has been selected as a framework contractor by Bradford Metropolitan District Council for its new £100m general contractor’s framework.

The contractor has been appointed on Lot 2, 3 and 4 of the Bradford MDC Framework. Lot 2 covers building works from £500k-£2.5m, Lot 3 covers building works from £2.5m-£5m, and Lot 4 covers works in excess of £5m.

The framework will include new builds, alterations and extension works including education, affordable housing schemes, residential and extra care homes, public buildings, sports and leisure facilities.

The agreement will also be used to procure building schemes throughout the district to support the expansion and maintenance of the council’s estate. It will initially run for a two-year period, after which Bradford Council can extend the framework for a further two, one-year periods.

Don Stewart, framework director at Interserve Construction, said: “We have a strong track record within the Bradford Metropolitan District for delivering complex projects drawing on our wide-ranging experience, and we are looking forward to working in collaboration with the Council to deliver its capital projects aligned with Interserve Construction’s strategy for expanding it Framework portfolio.”

Interserve’s Procure Partnerships Framework

The Bradford MDC Framework is not the only framework Interserve have recently been awarded. Earlier this month, the company announced its place on the new £8bn Procure Partnerships Framework (PPF) as a contractor partner. This will allow them access to construction contracts from £1m up to £25m-plus.

PPF is designed to provide a flexible mechanism to allow customers to create bespoke tender events within the framework to meet their needs by simplifying procurement for the public sector, saving time and delivering measurable social value.
