Vistry Partnerships has secured a land purchase contract with Homes England to deliver 87 new homes using a closed panel timber frame solution in Hall Green, Birmingham

Vistry Partnerships – formally known as Galliford Try Partnerships – has secured a land purchase contract with Homes England to deliver 87 new homes on a 2.6 hectares brownfield site located off York Road in Hall Green.

As part of Homes England’s commitment to advancing the use of modern methods of construction (MMC), all 87 homes at York Road will be built using a closed panel timber frame solution.

The mixed tenure site will two, three and four-bedroom homes, a minimum of which will be 35% affordable in a range of house types and tenures alongside improvements to the existing landscape.

Hall Green is well served by road and public transport having Hall Green station located directly to the south of the site providing a regular service into Birmingham City Centre, with Snow Hill station being reached in approximately 15 minutes.

James Warrington, divisional managing director of Vistry Partnerships Central and North, commented: “We are very pleased to be working in partnership again with Homes England to transform this derelict site that has been redundant for several years.

“The development will provide an opportunity to deliver MMC at scale delivering a range of new affordable homes quickly whilst enhancing the existing landscape and boosting economic growth in the area.

“We have now entered into contract on almost 1,600 homes with Homes England in the past two years, exemplifying our reputation as a leading partnership organisation.”

Work is expected to begin on the Hall Green site in August 2020.
