Interserve has been appointed as a framework contractor by the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) for its £100m framework
Interserve is one of six contractors appointed to the minor works Lot 1A, which covers minor building works, comprising of small building installations, refurbishments, repairs, maintenance and improvements on-premises.
The NEUPC framework will deliver works across Tees Valley, Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear over the next four years.
It can be accessed by five of the region’s leading higher education institutions at Newcastle, Durham, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside Universities.
NEUPC is one of six UK higher education purchasing consortia established to deliver and manage a wide range of collaborative framework agreements, designed to maximise third party expenditure within the education sector.
Interserve has delivered many successful higher education projects for the universities within the NEUPC framework, including the Devonshire Building Laboratory Refurbishment project for Newcastle University, and the Ogden Centre for Fundamental Physics and the current £80m Mount Oswald student accommodation scheme for Durham University.
Interserve’s success on being named part of the NEUPC Framework follows its recent appointment to the North East Lincolnshire Council for its technical design services framework.
The £60m framework runs for four years and covers new build projects, extensions and refurbishments to council’s offices, public buildings, maintained schools and academies, and its leisure portfolio, including swimming pools and libraries.
