Second phase of works
Valued at £95k, and comprising of the installation of four new toilet blocks and a new door entrance, the second phase of works is scheduled to begin in September and will be finalised by October 2020.
Located in Cardiff city centre, St Peter’s RC Primary School is regarded as “a happy, caring and multicultural school”.
It provides education to around 500 pupils, aged 3 to 11, from various areas including Roath, Pen-y-lan, Splott and Cardiff centre.
High standards of wellbeing for the children
Graham regional manager (FM), Ian Worley, said: “It is a privilege for Graham to be working in partnership with Cardiff City Council and St Peter’s Primary School, and helping the estates team deliver this project.
“We are playing an important role in supporting the school to adapt and modernise its building portfolio to meet the complex challenges resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Understandably, returning to school is an anxious time for pupils and parents. But, throughout this project, our expert delivery teams and supply chain partners have adopted strict social distancing measures and followed rigorous guidelines to protect the health and safety of everyone.
“We are very pleased with the quality of work so far, and I’m confident that the pupils will be impressed with their new surroundings.”
St Peter’s head teacher, Rein, added: “I would like to thank Graham for the efficiency and professionalism that its staff have applied to completing the much-needed refurbishment works at our school.
“The improvements will be very important in helping to create an environment which fosters and promotes high and consistent standards of wellbeing for our children.”
