John Sisk & Son has appointed Andy Cook to lead the operational delivery for data centres throughout the UK

Andy Cook joins Sisk after seven years as ISG project director. His experience includes data centres up to £600m in construction value, for international clients, including procurement and management of all major vendor equipment.

With this appointment, Sisk adds to its UK capability to meet the needs of both hyper-scale and co-location operators across England, Wales and Scotland.

Andy Cook will be working closely with the dedicated data centre team in Ireland and Europe to leverage their experience and network in meeting the needs of UK clients. The business has regularly delivered data centre campus environments with power capacity up to 160MW critical load.

In the last 10 years, Sisk has built over 30 mission-critical facilities across Europe and continues to construct large data centre facilities, with projects currently under construction in Ireland and mainland Europe, for major international clients.

‘Strategic growth in the UK data market’

Paul Brown, chief operating officer for John Sisk & Son in the UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy into our UK business and we look forward to working closely with him to ensure we achieve our strategic growth in the UK data market.”

In addition to this senior appointment, Sisk is also expanding its office network in the UK to better serve its clients.

The company has recently moved into office space in Central London in Farringdon and also engaged a long term project office in Leeds, reflecting the amount of work currently in Leeds and the significant pipeline of opportunities.

These offices are in addition to the company’s main regional bases in St Albans, Solihull, Warrington and Bristol.
