Leading bids for new developments

Helen Bunch, executive managing director at Wates Residential, said: ā€œBeing a family business allows us to take a long-term view and invest in the relationships we have with local authority and housing association partners.

ā€œWe listen to our customers and have created this new head of partnerships role and appointed Andrew to the task to be their internal voice.

ā€œWe are an ambitious business with significant growth plans, and by taking this approach we will be better able to deliver high-quality mixed-tenure schemes for our customers and create positive legacies for the communities around our projects.ā€

Andrew Savege, head of partnerships at Wates Residential, added: ā€œWates Residential has a very clear identity that sets it apart from other contractors and developers, significantly because it is a values-based, family business that is designed and set up to benefit society.

ā€œThese benefits will be maximised by working in partnership with our customers. I look forward to leading bids for new developments and to meeting and building relationships with the local authorities and housing associations we work with to create sustainable communities together.ā€
