Tetra Tech, a provider of consulting and engineering services, has acquired UK MEP consultants Hoare Lea
Established in 1862, Hoare Lea is an industry-leading MEP consultancy firm in the UK, with more than 900 employees.
Hoare Lea was set up in Birmingham in 1862 by Henry Lea before taking its current name in 1939.
The MEP consultancy has 12 UK offices.

“The addition of Hoare Lea to our High Performance Buildings Group further advances Tetra Tech’s industry-leading sustainable building solutions for our commercial and government clients,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
In 2019 Tetra Tech acquired UK firm WYG for £43m to expand its geographic presence and positions as a global consulting, engineering and programme management firm focused on water, environment and infrastructure.
With 21,000 associates working together, Tetra Tech provides solutions to complex problems in water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and international development.
