Housebuilder Dandara Northern Home Counties has been given the green light for two developments, one in Biddenham and the other in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire
Both developments in Bedfordshire will offer a range of one-to-five-bedroom homes and apartments.
Sharnbrook development
The site at Yelnow Lane, Sharnbrook gained reserved matters permission in July, with construction due to begin this month (September). The development will deliver 51 homes, of which 30% will be affordable.
Dandara’s S106 contributions for this development will go towards school transport, play space, healthcare infrastructure and bus shelters.
The development will also include car and cycle parking and will be built to ensure energy efficient and sustainable development.
Biddenham development
Reserved matters permission for land at Gold Lane, Biddenham was recently granted, with construction expected to begin later this month.
This phase will deliver 119 homes, of which 38% will be affordable housing. The scheme includes an equipped area of play and a large amount of open space for local residents to enjoy, incorporating pedestrian and cycle links that will be available for wider public use.
Simon Pendlebury, sales and marketing director for Dandara, said: “We are pleased to have received planning permission for these developments of quality new homes which will offer a range of different property types.
“We have worked hard to ensure that the new homes here are built in keeping with the local area and look forward to working with the local communities in Sharnbrook and Biddenham.”
