Kiverco & Mick George have been recognised for their work in the waste sector with a nomination as finalists for the National Recycling Awards
Following the installation of a state-of-the-art recycling plant at Mick George’s St. Ives site, Kiverco and Mick George Ltd are delighted to be shortlisted as finalists for ‘Business Partnership of the Year’ at the upcoming National Recycling Awards.
Mick George Ltd, who offer a wide range of waste management services, approached Kiverco to design and manufacture a new recycling plant to meet the growing demand for its services. Restricted space, increased workloads, as well as the overall ambition to improve service levels and sort material to achieve higher recovery rates, all led the company investing in fresh solutions to these issues.
Kiverco, who are widely recognised for designing and manufacturing robust recycling plants, developed a solution that ensured the plant was reliable and incorporated the very latest in sorting technology. This means that the plant maximises recovery rates and utilises all processed material, to meet the goal of zero waste to landfill.
John Lines, Sales Director at Kiverco says: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. To be nominated with Mick George for this project underlines the work both companies have put into achieving a robust and modern facility. Through our consultation process, Mick George knew exactly what they wanted to achieve and Kiverco were more than willing to incorporate their requirements into the final plant design using some of the best available equipment. It is fair to say that after months of operation, the plant has more than exceeded expectations.”
Michael George, Contracts Manager at Mick George states, It was critically important not only that our chosen supplier had the experience to design and build this plant, but that they were also willing to listen to what we wanted and then incorporate our requirements into the final plant design and build. I was confident that Kiverco could do this and I have not been disappointed.”
