NHBC has announced a new agreement with Self-Build Zone to provide structural warranties. The contract will see all self-build structural warranties and other site insurance enquiries directed to the insurance firm, who will then work NHBC customers to provide suitable products.
NHBC works to raise the standards of new homes, while providing consumer protection for homebuyers. Self-Build Zone provides site insurance and structural warranty packages for new builds, renovations, extensions, and conversion projects.
The terms of the agreement means Self-Build Zone will carry out all work relating to the policies referred by NHBC. This will include underwriting, inspection, and claims management. Inspection arrangements for Building Control and Technical Audits for the self-builder will also fall under their remit.
