Following two record months for sales, structural warranty specialist, Advantage Home Construction Insurance (AHCI) has added eight new members of staff to its existing sales team
The new sales staff at AHCI will help manage the significant increase in new business enquiries being received each month.
The structural warranty specialist will also be opening two new offices to facilitate further expansion.
AHCI has its headquarters in Warrington, and new offices will be opening in Horsham and Birmingham to accommodate the growing team.
The company also signed a long-term deal with an A-rated insurance carrier in August.
AHCI is known for providing latent defects cover for projects ranging in size from individual self-builds to £100m developments, and the deal with new A-rated capacity forms part of their long-term plans for the sustainable growth of the business.
Despite the current financial uncertainty affecting many UK businesses, AHCI celebrated two record months for sales in July and August, recruiting eight new members of sales staff.
Building on success
AHCI’s director of sales, David Sumner, said: “It’s a credit to our hardworking and dedicated team that we’ve not only continued to serve all of our existing clients throughout the pandemic, we’ve also celebrated two record months for sales during a challenging period for all businesses.
“Building upon this success, we’ve recruited eight new members of staff to join our sales team, and we’re continuing our recruitment drive.
“Opening new offices in Horsham and Birmingham will help to ensure that we have the space we need for the business’s ongoing expansion.”
Paving the way for their current success, in spring, AHCI’s directors acted swiftly to implement new hygiene and safety measures, and also to facilitate remote working wherever possible, to ensure that they were able to continue to work effectively with their construction clients throughout the UK lockdown.
Client feedback
Sam Rowlands, one of the founders of Romal Capital, said: “We were about 90 to 95% of the way through the Park Central project (a 14-storey, 129 apartment development which is part of Liverpool’s flagship waterfront regeneration project) when all of the Coronavirus-related disruption began.
“We were working with AHCI on the project, and they were able to attend the site safely and efficiently, adhering to all social distancing guidelines.
“In a very challenging climate for construction, we were able to sign off on the building, and we were issued with the certificates to allow us to complete.
“It was a good experience at a time when we were in the eye of the storm. I’ve worked with Advantage for a few years now and it was a natural fit to continue to work with them on this project. They are very responsive and they deliver in a timely manner. They turn up when they need to turn up and they get the job done. Even during a pandemic!”
Following a summer of business growth, Advantage’s directors are poised to take on more new staff throughout autumn, with demand for structural warranties remaining strong.
