Actis to take part in thermal efficiency conference

Architects, developers and surveyors will be given a chance to learn about the latest developments in the thermal, acoustic and HVAC sectors at a conference on 25 September at Bournemouth Football Club

Delegates at the TEAC(H) – Thermal Efficiency, Acoustics and HVAC – conference will have a chance to earn 10 CPD points at the morning session or eight if they attend in the afternoon.

Free tea, coffee and lunch or buffet snacks are available and there’s also a chance to tour the football ground for those that way inclined (although this bit involves spending money!).

Actis specification manager Dan Anson-Hart, a seasoned CPD trainer, is among the speakers.

His talk, on Proven Compliant Systems, will look at how specifiers are no longer required merely to offer insulation solutions. They now need to provide fully compliant systems which meet all requirements such as Part B – fire, Part C – condensation, Part D – toxic substances and Part E – acoustics, as well as the obvious Part L – conservation of fuel and power.

Topics addressed by other trainers include thermal bridging, soundproofing and offsite innovations.

The morning session begins at 8.30am and the afternoon kicks off at 2.30pm.

The AFC Bournemouth football stadium tour, pre-bookable at £25, runs from 2 until 2.30pm.
