West Fraser, the UK’s lead producer of engineered wood panels, is committed to playing a big part in reducing carbon emissions in all its manufacturing processes.
Being carbon neutral just wasn’t enough for the company; carbon negative was the goal.
Locking up more CO2 than it emits
West Fraser has now been independently audited and verified so that all the portfolios of engineered wood panels have been certified as being net carbon negative. This means that the company locks up more CO2 in the boards than it emits making them.
“We are committed to helping UK construction drive down carbon emissions; while also helping our customers comply with net zero targets,” said Andrew Francis, sales director at West Fraser.
West Fraser is a diversified wood products company with more than 60 facilities in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe.
