BAM appoints new head of social impact

BAM Construct UK has appointed Dannielle Aberg as its new head of social impact to draw together the company’s wider sustainability and procurement approaches

Dannielle Aberg will report directly to chief executive, James Wimpenny.

Aberg has over 16 years of experience in the field of social value and diversity and inclusion.

She joins BAM having set up her own consultancy providing strategic advice and services to a range of clients to shape and deliver their social value strategies.

Most recently, Aberg was involved in developing and leading the social value programme for the Welsh Government Mutual Investment Model, delivering a £500m schools infrastructure program across Wales, and has worked for the Construction Industry Training Board and Bouygues.

She studied at Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Chartered Management Institute.

James Wimpenny, chief executive of BAM Construct UK, said: “Creating social value is a key objective for many of our construction, FM and property clients. It is deeply embedded in our own culture and business strategy.

“Danni will ensure that we focus our efforts in a coordinated way across our construction regions and business units, drawing it together with our wider sustainability and procurement approaches, and driving our social impact.”
