EiC, a building service and facilities management company has gone into administration. The Warwickshire-headquartered firm saw administrator AlixPartners appointed earlier this week.

The firm said in a statement that pressures from creditors had led to the insolvency after a poor trading performance.

The statement said: “After exploring all options available, management concluded that the cash pressures were too great and there was no alternative but to place the company into administration.”

The firm was founded in 1971 and provided electrical installation services. It is thought it hired more than 330 staff.

EiC had headquarters in Alcester and region offices in Redruth, Bristol, Southampton, Warrington, and North Lanarkshire in Scotland.

According to the last available data, accounts for the six months to 31 December 2014 showed the business turned over ÂŁ38.1m with a pre-tax profit of ÂŁ1.4m.
