There’s still time to enter this year’s Façade 2022 Design and Engineering Awards as the deadline has been extended to 24 June 2022

The Façade Design and Engineering Awards have been relaunched this year by The Society of Façade Engineering (SFE), featuring a host of new categories.

The awards, in association with Zak World of Facades, recognise excellence and achievements in façade engineering, celebrating its importance in modern architecture.

Several high-quality entries have already been received and the closing date has been extended to 24 June 2022.

Any Façade Contract completed between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2021 will be considered for the awards.

Following the success of previous competitions, the categories have been expanded to include the following:

  • Project of the Year
  • Young Façade Engineer of the Year
  • Product of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement

Championing sustainable building façades

Chris Aspinall, SFE chair, said: “I am delighted to see the return of the SFE Façade Design Awards. This unique event acknowledges innovation, ingenuity and excellence in façade design and products.

“It also provides an opportunity to shine a light on the rising stars and to recognise those who have made a significant contribution to the façade industry.

“We’re also delighted to be joining forces with the ZAK World of Façades Conference in London this year.

“Together we are championing the best in services and products to construct safe and sustainable building façades.”

Close to 1000 professionals from across the globe will gather on 3 November 2022, at Hilton Park Lane, London, for the Façade 2022 Design and Engineering Awards that will be judged by an expert panel.

Previous winners include the Bloomberg HQ in London, and the Morpheus hotel in Macau, China.
