Galliford Try has become one of the first construction companies to provide its employees with a one-off cost of living payment to aid them and their families
Galliford Try has announced that a one-off cost of living payment – of up to £750 – will be given to around 1,800 employees.

Bill Hocking, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “We recognise that the rising cost of living is challenging many households across the UK and, as a people-orientated, values-driven organisation we are committed to supporting our people through a variety of means.
“This is just the latest step of many, offering added support where we can make a difference.”
Employees will be paid the real living wage from November 2022
Galliford Try is also pleased to confirm that it will be adopting the new rate of the Real Living Wage from November 2022.
The uplift will benefit a small number of employees and will take effect next month.
Bill Hocking, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “Doing the right thing is at the very core of our people-orientated and values-driven approach, and we are proud to have paid our people in line with the Real Living Wage rates since 2020.
“Implementing the uplift is the latest of several recent initiatives we have put in place that recognise the rising cost of living households across the UK are facing, and offers additional support to our people where we can.”
As part of its Be Well programme, the Group has also ramped up its series of training sessions, tools and resources for financial planning and wellbeing.
