Higgins has appointed Amy Ross as head of social value, to shape and drive the company’s social value strategy

Ross brings a wealth of experience, working in corporate social responsibility in the sector. She previously worked at Morgan Sindall Property Services as a corporate social responsibility director.

As head of social value, Ross will shape and drive the company’s Social Value Strategy. Working closely with the board of directors, project teams and clients she will develop and implement added social value on projects.

As well as this, she will plan and promote events that will engage with local communities to create lasting outcomes, build strategic partnerships with organisations and charities and promote learning and educational opportunities within the sector.

Steve Leakey, managing director of Higgins, commented: “Amy is a great addition to Higgins and she brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the company. We are all looking forward to working closely with her to maximise our Social Value Strategy going forward.”

Amy Ross added: “I am extremely passionate about delivering sustainable legacy projects and working with people where you make a difference and change their lives, so I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to build this sector of the business with Higgins.

“When I first started my career there was very little emphasis on social value, now it is a fundamental part of new business and the construction industry. I am looking forward to working with the team to develop and implement the strategy and enhance business development and growth.”
