The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) programme of virtual work experience is open to ICE student members due to graduate in 2022 – apply by 31 May
ICE piloted its first summer project scheme for student members in 2020, receiving rave reviews.
The online initiative will give ICE student members the opportunity to gain work experience to aid their professional development, beginning their progress towards achieving the ICE attributes.
This will give students a head start on their journey to become professionally qualified as an engineering technician, incorporated or chartered engineer and provide a significant boost for their career development.
The format
Each team of students will be supervised by a graduate tutor who designs a work package for you to complete.
The summer project will be based on industry-realistic projects. We expect to have a variety of packages, covering various fields of civil engineering.
The programme will be delivered over a two-week period in July or August, depending on the availability of tutors and students.
The summer project is open to ICE Student members due to graduate in 2022.
To apply for your place, complete the online form by 31 May 2021.
