BAM appoints John Wilkinson to run its civil engineering arm

John Wilkinson has been appointed as the new chief operating officer of the Royal BAM Group’s civil engineering division

The executive board of Royal BAM Group has appointed John Wilkinson as chief operating officer for its civil engineering arm.

Wilkinson will take the helm from 5 October 2020.

John Wilkinson is currently president of infrastructure and member of the executive committee of SNC-Lavalin, an international, fully integrated professional services and project management company, based in Montreal.

He previously held senior positions as managing director UK infrastructure at Laing O’Rourke, executive director services at Kier Group and managing director at May Gurney.

As of 5 October 2020, the executive committee of Royal BAM Group will consist of:

  • The two-person executive board – CEO Ruud Joosten and CFO Frans den Houter;
  • Two chief operating officers – Joost Nelis as COO for construction and property, and John Wilkinson as COO for civil engineering;
  • Chief business excellence officer Simon Finnie; and
  • Chief HR officer Sven Van de Wynkele.
