Keltbray has appointed three new managing directors, as it unveils an organisational revamp to deliver its customer-focused strategy

Keltbray has announced further enhancements to the company’s corporate governance structure, effective from 1 November 2020, as part of its early adoption of the Wates’ Corporate Governance Principles for large privately-owned companies.

These changes follow a review of the organisation to support the group’s strategy for sustained growth, by increasing focus on serving customers’ needs for more integrated engineering solutions within selective growth sectors.

These new operating entities are complemented by a series of senior appointments to the executive board.

The major changes and appointments are:

  1. Keltbray Built Environment Limited is the new operating business for the demolition, civil engineering, remediation, environmental, piling, structures and decommissioning trading activities. Michael O’Hagan has been appointed as its new managing director.
  2. Keltbray Rail Limited (formerly Keltbray Aspire Limited), is the operating business responsible for the delivery of all rail civil engineering and electrification activities. Martin Brown has been confirmed as managing director of Keltbray Rail.
  3. Keltbray Energy Limited is the new operating business for the power distribution, transmission and renewables operating businesses. Mike Snee has been appointed managing director of Keltbray Energy.

‘A fully integrated, specialist, self-delivery engineering company’

Commenting on the appointments, Darren James, chief executive officer of Keltbray, said: “To ensure customers are front and centre of everything we do, they will be serviced by a corporate structure and leadership focus designed to meet their needs from a fully integrated, specialist, self-delivery engineering company.

“By realigning our organisational structure with our key sectors in this way, it will allow us to unleash our potential to improve our services, build greater scale, profitability and business resilience.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with my colleagues to drive the implementation of our strategy over the next growth period.”
