Lee Sturdy has joined Kier Construction in the newly created role as science and technology director, aiming to boost firm’s capability in the growing sector

Lee Sturdy has joined Kier as science and technology director for its Construction business, underlining Kier’s commitment to delivering for the UK’s science, technology, and research & development (R&D) sector.

In the newly created role, Lee will lead on Kier Construction’s life sciences capability, setting the strategic direction as it expands its work in this rapidly growing, specialist sector.

Before joining Kier, Lee was at John Sisk & Son, where he was sector leader for life sciences and advanced manufacturing.

A chartered engineer, Lee has over 30 years’ experience in the science and health sectors, across main contractor, consultancy and specialist M&E services.

With a national focus, as science and technology director Lee Sturdy will work with existing public and private sector clients, supporting the delivery of the UK’s leading position for R&D, science, technology.

Developing Kier’s profile across construction, science and technology
