Paul Hackett accepts appointments to The Bartlett and the RICS

Paul Hackett has been appointed Honorary Professor at the UCL Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) have also appointed Paul to their Housing Supply Group

Professor D’Maris Coffman, Head of the UCL Bartlett School said: “I’m delighted Paul is joining The Bartlett in our centenary year. The School of Construction and Project Management is one of the government’s academic partners on the Transforming Construction Network Plus.

“With the UK in the grips of the worst housing crisis in a generation, innovation and accelerating the development of new homes isn’t just important for meeting housing need, residential property is also an increasingly important asset class and a driver of productivity and economic growth. Now is the ideal time to recruit a residential expert to the school.”

As well as taking up the post of Honorary Professor, Paul will also serve on the School’s Independent Advisory Board.

Mike Basquill, UK Residential Associate Director at the RICS commented: “Increasing housing supply is key to solving Britain’s broken housing market. This means delivering a mix of tenures including significantly increasing the supply of affordable homes.
