National planning consultancy firm expands its team in Reading with three new appointments…

Three senior consultants are the latest additions to planning firm Turley. The company’s Reading office was expanded following an increased demand from clients.

Tim Burden, Donna Palmer, and David Wetherill have extensive experience in the sector. Burden will join the firm as director. He will lead the expansion of Turley’s planning work in the residential sector across the region.

Burden was formerly a director at Boyer Planning and has 15 years worth of experience working in the Thames Valley and surrounding areas. He has advised on major residential, regeneration, and employment schemes in Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Milton Keynes, Reading, and Wycombe.

Palmer, who comes on board as a senior planner, has a range of experience including six years in the private sector. She has worked primarily on projects based in the residential sphere, including large strategic promotions.

Wetherill, who will also come on board as a senior planner, joins the firm from Wokingham Borough Council. In his former role, Wetherill worked with a range of stakeholders to negotiate and deliver complex schemes.

Peter Lawson, office director at Turley in Reading, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tim, Donna and David to our Reading team. A combination of local knowledge, contacts and service expertise means all three will offer our clients the very best strategic and commercial advice.

“Since establishing a regional office in Reading earlier this year we have quickly assembled a first class team and are becoming increasingly active on numerous projects that are set to shape the growth of this sub-region.”
