Michael Lonsdale Group has appointed Stacy Benson as the Director of the organisation’s growing rail division, Lonsdale Rail
The new director of Lonsdale Rail has been announced as Stacy Benson, as appointed by Michal Lonsdale Group.
Stacy has an extensive experience with engineering-led solutions
A chartered civil engineer, Stacy has a strong transport and engineering background, working for Tube Lines, London Underground, and most recently Thales.
In his new role at the helm of Lonsdale Rail, Stacy is committed to further establish and position the brand as the industry leader.
Stacy said: “It’s a privilege to have been given this opportunity by Gary Herbert and the rest of the Michael Lonsdale Group board. When I first met Gary, I was excited by his vision and ambition for Rail – and his determination to combine deep rail experience with the scale and results-driven mentality within the wider group.”
Stacy highlights his priorities as bringing more equality and identity to the sector
Taking the lead on all major rail projects, Stacy’s five-year vision is to transform the division into the UK’s largest MEP supplier in rail with unrivalled delivery capability. His foresight doesn’t stop there, with a personal mission to bring more equality and diversity to the sector, impressing the importance of the Group’s EDI values.
Stacy commented: “As a dad to three young daughters, I have a personal reason for making careers in rail and engineering accessible and with equal opportunities for all. Joining Lonsdale Rail at the start of its growth phase, I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to shape this from day 1 and scale a division founded on EDI.”
