Tilbury Douglas has announced the appointment of Catherine Brookes as highways sector director for their infrastructure business
Catherine Brookes joins Tilbury Douglas on 7 June 2021 to support and drive the company’s highways business focussing on growth within existing and new frameworks for Strategic and Local Authority customers.
Brookes will sit on the infrastructure senior leadership team reporting to Chris Tyerman, managing director for infrastructure.
Experience in the sector
Catherine Brookes was most recently director for operations business transformation and performance at Highways England.
Since joining Highways England (Agency) as a bridge engineer she progressed through the company with roles as regional operation director for the Midlands and East regions and a period of time as chief highways engineer.
A Chartered Civil Engineer, Brookes has over 30 years’ experience in the sector.
She began her career in the private sector working for Gifford and Partners, and Mouchel, as well as running her own limited company for a period, focussing on bridge design and heavy civils predominately.
