Wates Group has launched a new online learning platform that provides learners with the opportunity to develop their skillset with the company
The Wates Community Learning portal is a digital platform providing access to over 50 nationally accredited courses.
This online learning hub has been designed in partnership with online learning specialist Market Smarter, the portal offers learners the opportunity to learn a new skill, develop themselves personally or professionally with courses ranging from mental health, wellbeing and social care to business and digital skills.
By registering for a course, residents can learn from the comfort of their own home, in their own time and fit the course around their current home and work commitments. Once enrolled, they benefit from expert tutor support and no exams as all courses are based on testing knowledge in a number of set assignments.
The platform and the courses are free to access, meaning anyone can sign up and start learning by visiting the Wates Community Learning Hub.
To help their local authority and housing association customers launch the platform to their residents, Wates has created a helpful toolkit, which contains everything a customer would need to publicise the platform to their residents.
Creating the communities of tomorrow
David Morgan, executive director at Wates Living Space, said: “Throughout the pandemic the world of education went virtual and we saw huge numbers of people taking to the internet to learn new skills or complete courses that help to upskill themselves at work.
“Wates is committed to helping our customers create the communities of tomorrow and helping residents make a difference in their lives.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our partners access to the Wates Community Learning Hub so that their residents can begin creating a path to a better future for themselves.”
