GRAITEC has acquired the French-based fabrication management software publisher, Arma Plus, for construction delivery as part of it’s portfolio
10th July 2018 – GRAITEC, an international BIM, Fabrication and Design software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Arma Plus, a French based company that provides IT and Fabrication Software solutions for the construction, steel and concrete industries. Financial details have not been disclosed.
This acquisition complements Graitec’s strategy to become the leader in BIM for structural design, detailing and fabrication, whilst empowering the company to improve their existing software portfolio, and the development of pioneering BIM solutions.
Standardising processes
At a time when technical and financial considerations have never been so high on the agenda in the construction industry and where BIM opens new exciting areas, professionals are standardising and industrialising more and more of their processes. As part of this move, design and fabrication worlds are converging. The acquisition of Arma Plus occurs in this context where Graitec, a global champion of Design & Detailing solutions for construction, now enables customers to continue the journey by including fabrication in the process.

Graitec’s current rebar and concrete software application – Advance BIM Designers, features a collection of apps for automating structural design-to-detail BIM workflows and runs on multiple popular Autodesk platforms or as a standalone solution. The combination of this technology together with Arma Plus’s A+ Software solution will enable Graitec to deliver end to end concrete and rebar solutions, from initial design and detailing, out to rebar production control and precast production management and finally onto construction with a contractors rebar and supply management solution.
Furthermore, with Arma Plus bringing over 30 years of rebar knowledge to the table, GRAITEC can continue to support their client base on their 3D rebar detailing journey and accelerate existing developments.
