Britlift provides an update on its activities to increase manufacturing during the Covid-19 outbreak, support offsite construction and expand its global reach
Britlift to increase modular spreader beam manufacturing, stock and capacities
During the current COVID-19 pandemic, Britlift is using any spare manufacturing capacity to proactively manufacture modular spreader beam stock to treble the original stock holding levels (pre-COVID-19), while also increasing stocked beam sizes – incorporating 100, 110, 170 and 250-tonne capacities.
Britlift will now be able to supply modular spreader beams (off-the-shelf) in capacities ranging from four tonnes to 250 tonnes on a next day service!

Britlift signs global distribution agreement with Unique Group
Unique Group, one of the world’s leading integrated subsea and offshore solution providers, has entered a new partnership with lifting and spreader beam designer and manufacturer, Britlift, in a move that will see Britlift spreader beams being offered for rental or purchase via Unique Group’s global network.
Britlift, experts in the design and manufacture of bespoke lifting systems for the offsite manufacturing and construction sector, will see its standard range of modular spreader beams exported around the world, sold into new markets and supported by Unique Group’s extensive specialist sales and technical network.
With the agreement in place covering Unique Group’s US & Canada, Holland, UAE, Nigeria, India and Singapore operations, the first beams – at a 1,350-tonne capacity – are already in production to enter Unique Group’s rental fleet across some of these locations early in 2020.
Managing director Liam Botting explained: “We have already built a loyal customer base through our overall service and the attention we pay to the technical and commercial requirements of those who work with us.”
With a standard range of modular beams up to 500-tonnes in capacity, and the ability to design, manufacture and test (in-house) beams to well over 1,500-tonnes WLL, Britlift has, within the space of a few short years, established itself as a major player in the sector.
