ESS Modular has completed the acquisition of the company that specialises in delivering education projects utilising modern methods of construction, Spatial Initiative
The announcement comes after ESS Modular acquired an additional 50% share in Spatial Initiative.
The move is an investment in the continued growth of the educational arm of the business, which will continue to support the DfE’s ambitious school building programmes.
Spatial Initiative is on a number of Department for Education frameworks and to date has delivered seven new schools and is currently on-site delivering a further seven new projects throughout the country.
In January of this year, the company was appointed to the £3bn DfE Offsite Framework MMC and joined a panel of contractors which will help deliver the DfE’s new school build programme for new primary and secondary schools across the UK over the next four years. This framework highlights a continued shift in government preference towards modern methods of construction (MMC).
Boost education offering
