Work continues on Wernick Building’s latest project for George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, which will see the delivery of a new theatre suite

The new George Eliot Hospital theatre suite is made up of 27 modular units which were manufactured at Wernick’s factory in South Wales and transported to site for installation over 3 days.

On completion, the fully HTM compliant project will offer enhanced 3000mm ceiling heights and UCV Canopy installations with laparoscopic provisions to provide a high-quality surgical environment.

The project closely follows the successful completion of the Captain Sir Tom Moore Unit, which provided two 15 bed wards for general and orthopaedic elective surgery patients.

Delivered during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Wernick were able to provide a permanent solution within 14 weeks in response to the increased urgency of the hospital’s requirements.
