The Crown Commercial Service (CSS) has opened up the bidding process to suppliers looking to deliver modular buildings for the public sector
Listed in the Modular Buildings Contract Finding, the modular framework will allow suppliers to “supply, design, deliver of construction/installation and maintain both temporary and permanent modular buildings, purchased or hired.” (1)
The framework outlines that any supplier wishing to work will need to be “experienced providers of portable and modular units” and “capable of providing a bespoke service or ready assembled free standing modular buildings.”
The new framework found in the “Invitation to Tender Attachment 1 – About the framework” document, released by the CSS, includes the following chart detailing seven different lots, each tackling a different ‘Hire’ or ‘Purchase’ of healthcare and education related buildings to be built for the public sector.

Up to £1.2 billion has been granted by the government to cover the contract published today (21st November).
Supplies will be able to benefit from the contracts start date of 6th March 2019 which is due to last until 5th March 2023.
