Project Etopia has appointed former Berkeley St Edward’s head of development, James Pikett as its new development director
Having spent over a decade in the industry, James Pikett has held positions at Weston Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Countryside and latterly at Berkeley Homes, working across a diverse portfolio of complex, mixed-use projects.
In recent years, the UK housebuilders have increasingly embraced sustainable living and renewable technology — values that are central to what Project Etopia delivers with its ‘energy positive’ MMC homes that can produce more energy than they use.
Responsibilities
- Spearheading Project Etopia’s acquisition of new land
- Engaging with local authorities on the planning and delivery of new homes
- Leading the team that will drive forward the development process, including obtaining planning permissions

Seismic shift in the industry
