Modular construction experts from across the globe came together to share knowledge at the Modular Building Institute’s (MBI) 2019 Modular Construction Summit and Factory Tour
The Modular Building Institute’s (MBI) 2019 Modular Construction Summit and Factory Tour in Krakow, Poland, brought together several of the industry’s international leaders to network, exchange ideas, and share solutions in commercial modular construction.
Hosted by Modular Building Institute in November, the summit was an opportunity for attending architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and developers to be exposed to the modular construction process and learn about its capabilities and advantages for future projects around the world.
Paul Bonaccorsi, senior consultant for UK-based Intelligent Offsite and chairman of MBI’s European Advisory Council, commented: “This years European Summit in Krakow was a tremendous success.
“The combination of speakers from five different countries gave a great insight as to how diverse the European modular sector has become. Our attendance tripled from our inaugural event held in Munich in 2018 and we are looking to further build on that success with our 2020 European Summit.”
Modular construction across Europe
The European modular construction community has largely led advances in the industry and MBI’s European Council aims to continue to bring this thought base, knowledge, and experience together.
Bonaccorsi added: “The hard work of MBI and the European Council in organising the event was worth the effort. The feedback I’ve received from delegates has been nothing but positive which gives us a massive confidence boost for our future European summits.”
World of Modular
In the meantime, MBI’s World of Modular offers a four-day event which attracts industry leaders & decision-makers from around the globe representing more than 20 countries each year.
World of Modular will run from 9-12 March 2020, at the Rosen Shingle Creek luxury resort in Orlando, Florida.
Alan Rasmussen, VP of production at Modern Building Systems, said: “The commercial modular building industry is a tight-knit community, and World of Modular is a great event to come to because the core of the industry is there.
“Be it to network, brainstorm, collaborate with peers and friends, meet potential customers, or meet with vendors. I look forward to World of Modular every year, and I come back informed, motivated, and recharged.”
World of Modular will provide a speaker line-up of the modular construction industry’s most knowledgeable members, with 120 exhibits from leading modular companies, design firms, contractors, and product & service providers on the trade show floor.
Registration is now open and will continue until 1 March 2020.
